Finally, physical prep for your bridal hair & makeup trials is a wide range based on the results you’re trying to achieve. For example: clip-in extensions, deep conditioning treatments on your hair or a trim, teeth whitening, or spray tan (approximately two days before the trial). This is so that you can see how it all comes together for your overall look without waiting until day-of.

If you do choose airbrush, we like to apply whatever primers your skin needs, followed by a light layer of conventional foundation, and topping it off with two light layers of airbrush (so really it ends up being a hybrid application anyway).

For conventional, we simply choose the high-end, luxury liquid or cream foundation with the best of the best above mentioned flawless finish and—sshhh—no one will ever know the difference (it’s really that good)!

Consider if your inspo pics portray a person with a deeper skin tone than yours. This definitely affects the overall makeup look, so we may advise you to get a spray tan in advance so that it translates more seamlessly, and the exact look you’re going for can be more easily achieved.

Lastly, a good exfoliation protocol keeps dry and dead skin at bay, and though it’s not necessarily skin prep, don’t forget to whiten your teeth if they tend toward a dull shade!

It’s totally fine to give your girls some parameters that promote flexibility and expression unique to their preference and personality, but need we remind you again?…at the end of the day, it’s YOUR BIG DAY, so it’s up to YOU to choose, and you should be the one to really stand out!
