If you’ve had it before and your mind is made up on airbrush makeup (or if you’re still on the fence for that matter), there are a few factors you might want to consider, along with new developments in the recipe and technology of conventional (aka “traditional”) makeup that make choosing more a matter of preference than a requirement, while still arriving at the same coveted outcome.

Airbrush Makeup and South Florida Weddings: A Match Made in Heaven
Many of our South Florida brides opt for airbrush due to its water- and sweat-proof finish—a real advantage in Miami’s heat and humidity. On the other hand, dryer climates like Colorado and Arizona are not always conducive, causing it to crack and flake. Its flawless finish, however, is not guaranteed if the professional makeup artist is not skilled in the surgical precision required with which it’s applied—one layer too much can leave the skin tight and dry.
But maybe you love the traditional “analog” process of conventional makeup application; or maybe your budget won’t budge on the extra bucks to accommodate airbrush; or maybe you’d simply rather skip the spray-on route altogether…
Pairing Traditional Makeup with Airbrush
Thankfully, the conventional/traditional makeup industry got the memo…caught the trend…answered the call…so that now, with the perfect pairing of cream/liquid foundation and setting spray, you can get the same long-lasting, immaculate results as a Hollywood film star as you walk down the aisle if spray-on isn’t your vibe.
And no shade on whatever side of the spectrum you decide. If you’re simply in love with airbrush, and your makeup artist knows what they’re doing, and the climate is in your favor (hello, Miami brides), ain’t nobody stoppin’ you girl!

If you do choose airbrush, we like to apply whatever primers your skin needs, followed by a light layer of conventional foundation, and topping it off with two light layers of airbrush (so really it ends up being a hybrid application anyway).
For conventional, we simply choose the high-end, luxury liquid or cream foundation with the best of the best above mentioned flawless finish and—sshhh—no one will ever know the difference (it’s really that good)!
