How to Style Your Bridesmaids for Your Denver Wedding

Your BIG DAY is all about YOU! We’re not disputing that! But it couldn’t be that without your entourage to put you on the pedestal, right?

Their beautification is tantamount to your own, not only for the total bride-tribe extravaganza experience, but for the strategic cohesion of the overall vibe and photogenicity of your bridal party!

Some brides have a detailed vision of each and every aspect of their wedding day, including their bridesmaids’ hair & makeup styles, and some like to allow them to choose their look.

As your wedding hair stylist and makeup artists in Denver, CO, we’re game either way. Again, it’s YOUR DAY! But if you ask us, there are a few pointers & guidelines we think are important.

Bridesmaid Styling Tips for Coordinating with The Bride

If you (the bride) are going with Hollywood glam waves, you may opt for your bridesmaids to choose an updo of their favorite style so that it differentiates you as the centerpiece, the star that you are!

If, on the other hand, you’re doing an updo, maybe choose a complementing half-up or downstyle for your crew.

Typically, and as a general rule, it’s a good idea to have your bridesmaids’ makeup relatively consistent, which means, for example, you wouldn’t have five bridesmaids with soft glam and one with full glam and a bold lip. This looks out of balance in photos.

In addition, while some brides choose to have a variety of different bridesmaids dresses all within in the same color scheme, it is still a good idea to make sure none of them have the exact same hair and makeup as you.

One option is to coordinate a cohesive scheme of, say, warm or cool or neutral tones and a specific hair style, but allow room for a little customization. Our artists love to work with our brides to bring the vision to life and create a unified group feel while accentuating the special qualities and traits of each individual within it.

It’s totally fine to give your girls some parameters that promote flexibility and expression unique to their preference and personality, but need we remind you again?…at the end of the day, it’s YOUR BIG DAY, so it’s up to YOU to choose, and you should be the one to really stand out! (We won’t tell—you know you want that too!)
