Will your dream wedding day hair need extensions?
So you found your person… Your dream venue in Breckenridge and the perfect dress… Got your family & friends, and invite list… The next box to check is obviously among the most important and exciting (though understandably nerve wracking)—wedding hair and makeup!
You’ve scoured through scores of inspiration photos and your vision board is overflowing with wedding hair styles for long-haired brides. You look in the mirror and know for sure you got the locks to pull off your favorite one. Great!
Wait, rewind…
You look in the mirror and know there’s no way your natural hair is long, thick, or voluminous enough to make it happen. Or you’re somewhere in between and unsure…
Whatever your scenario, rest assured—a gorgeous long-hair bridal look is totally achievable. Yes, even for YOU!
It is very common for brides to send us inspiration photos (some of which are AI generated), of lusciously long, voluminous wedding hair styles, but unless you have naturally long, thick hair that perfectly holds a curl or wave, most likely you will need some sort of hair extension.
But wait, rewind again…
Even if you do have long, thick hair, your texture might not hold a curl well, so you still may need extensions to lock it in and nail the look.
Either way, reach out and let’s talk about it!
What Kind of Extensions Do I Need?
If you’re the type that likes sew-in or tape-in extensions, we can work with that, but your regular stylist would need to install those. If you’d like to go the clip-in (or halo for some downstyles) route, we will advise you where to purchase, what length you need, and even install them for you.
It is best to have your clip-in extensions in hand before your trial so you can see what your actual hair style with look like on wedding day.
On the other hand…
The Wedding Hair Trial
Some brides opt to do the trial without the extensions to see what we can achieve with their natural hair and then decide if they want to incorporate extensions into the style (and maybe do a 2nd trial).
While we’re at it, a general guideline side note on trials: Come to your hair trial with clean, dry hair with no product in it so that our stylists can use the products they know work best to achieve the style you’re wanting.
But back to the point—It’s imperative to have a realistic expectation while still aiming for the vision of your dreams; a precise balance that incorporates your inspiration and understanding what is actually possible.
We’ll help you every step of the way!
