We love the co-creative, collaborative process of matching our brides with our artists. While we do require our brides to research and find inspiration on their desired styles, we don’t expect you to know who would be able to achieve it, and we don’t just throw you with someone random. We’ve been in the biz for over 20 years, have long-term relationships with our makeup and hair stylists, have an extensive vetting process and only work with the best of the best, and are extremely familiar with their unique specialties and expertise!
The cherry on top, an intangible that’s more important than you might have considered, is personality! Through initial conversations (phone consultation or email exchange) with our brides, we’re good at getting a read on who of our artists can nail the look AND who you would have the most energetic resonance with.
We don’t have a hierarchy of artists—none are better or worse, all are veterans in their craft with a high caliber of skill, experience, and proficiency in all styles.
Besides the actual wedding hair and makeup look you’re going for, other details to take into consideration are dress style, hair embellishments, veil (or not!) and the overall theme and color scheme of your wedding. For instance, if your wedding theme is more rustic and boho or classic and timeless, you may opt for a wedding hair and makeup style that fits those themes. If it seems appropriate and necessary for a particular situation (for example, if you’re an out-of-state bride who can’t make it for a trial and won’t be in town until wedding week) we set our brides up with a video chat to meet their artist, exchange contact info, and begin manifesting the vision well in advance!
