The age of AI is upon us, and there’s no turning back! But as we all know, the conveniences offered often come with a cost. Let’s cover a few cautionary words of wisdom when it comes to researching, understanding, and communicating your vision board and inspo pics to your Breckenridge wedding hair stylist and makeup team.
Navigating AI Generated Imagery
As stunningly beautiful as artificially generated images are, they unfortunately create a slippery slope into over-inflated expectations of bridal hair & makeup looks. Keep in mind, that’s not a real human—you are!—and its lusciously luxurious locks are potentially not realistically attainable on anyone. So if you use AI photos as inspiration, it’s advised to use them as a reference point only to get the creative wheels turning; not an actual hope for re-creating that look on you.
A more friendly and reasonable approach is celebrity photos, though there’s a potential snag there as well. At least it’s a depiction of a real human, so physical features like hair type, skin tone, face shape, etc are much more easily translated if your features are in the same or similar neighborhood. But just because you idolize a particular celeb doesn’t mean we can wave a magic makeup wand and make you look just like them.

Back to AI for a sec—Even if we’re able to get in the ballpark of the hair & makeup in the image, the perfectly crisp on-screen manifestation is simply not what it’s going to look like “IRL”. That doesn’t mean imperfections, mistakes, and blemishes (don’t worry, flawless is our aim!); it just means organic humans are completely different from digital displays.
